Forms of Payment Accepted

You may pay using a check or money order made payable to Clare Din. Only United States residents are allowed to pay using personal checks. Residents in all other countries must pay using a money order. All funds must be in United States currency. Cash is accepted, but we will not be held responsible for lost funds in the mail. Please wrap loose money securely! Most customers pay by United States Postal Money Order as this ensures a degree of anonymity.

You may pay using a credit card via our online ordering system, which is linked into a system operated by a company called CCNOW. CCNOW has created a secure electronic transaction environment for ordering merchandise over the Internet. Over 99% of our customers within the past four years are using CCNOW with no problems. Your merchandise will get to you much faster when you order through our online ordering system than when you pay via check or money order because we don't have to wait for your payment to arrive in the mail.

Once we receive payment, your books and products are normally shipped within 24 hours. If you placed your order via CCNOW, we will send you an e-mail stating when the order was shipped and when you can expect to receive your merchandise.

How to Order Online Using Our Convenient Shopping Cart Feature

When you see an item you are interested in, click on the Add to Cart button to add the item to your shopping cart. This will bring you to CCNow's shopping cart page where you will see the item added to your shopping cart.

On the CCNow shopping cart page, click on the Add More Items button to return to the page you were looking at before entering the CCNow shopping cart page. You can also change the quantity desired for any item, refresh the subtotal and grand totals, and proceed to the checkout counter (using Pay & Finish) all from the CCNow shopping cart page.

On any catalog page with a View Cart+Checkout button or Shopping Cart link, you can click on that button or link to view the contents of your shopping cart or proceed to the checkout counter. Secure access or standard access is available during the checkout process.

Your purchase is a direct transaction between you and CCNow. Payments will appear as DR*CCNOW.COM* on your credit card statement. The "DR" stands for Digital River, which is the parent company of CCNOW. All prices are listed in US dollars. If you use a non-US credit card, your bank will automatically convert to your home currency based on today's exchange rates. Most banks also charge a currency conversion fee for this service, and your final price may be affected by such fees. Once you have successfully placed your order and received an order number from CCNow, it will usually take up to 48 hours to verify your credit card information. TransVamp Publications does not receive notification of orders until the verification process is complete. Please note that the first time you place an order with CCNow, you may experience some delay with CCNow processing your order. CCNow has to verify your credit card information before sending us the order. This is for your protection. Before you attempt to do a customer order inquiry, save us both a lot of hassles and wait at least three business days first. Subsequent orders should be processed much faster than the first.

Once we ship your order, you will receive a reply message from us and CCNow stating that your order has been shipped. Note: To help ensure that there will be absolutely no problems with your orders, please verify that you have entered your correct mailing address, phone number, and email address in your CCNow account. Orders without these pieces of information will not be processed by CCNow. If an item is returned to us because of an insufficient address, we will require you to send us an additional payment to cover a repeated attempt at shipping.

Writing research reports is something I have done for the better part of my life, from my days as a graduate student at an Ivy League university to my work as a consultant for one of the largest consulting companies in the world. I started crossdressing when I was four years old and practiced applying makeup in my early teen years. When asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I said what my parents wanted to hear and that was "doctor" or "lawyer" when my secret passion was "makeup artist." School was very important to me because I knew that it was a way out of my old Brooklyn neighborhood and it would provide me with opportunities for a better future. Although I did not become a doctor or a lawyer, I instead became a respected figure in systems engineering circles. The kind of work I do enables me to spend time learning and writing about things I really care about, such as crossdressing and drag, and sharing my experiences with people. I have been told that I possess the very rare gift of fluent writing even though I am a technical person. With that in mind, you will have lots of fun reading my books. I guarantee it!

Can I find your books in bookstores?

No, and with good reason. Book distributors pay publishing companies about 40% to 50% of the suggested retail price for a book. On a $26 book, that would equal $10.40 to $13.00, clearly less than the cost of printing each book. Distributing books in this manner would result in a loss for every book sold and TransVamp.com would cease to exist. How much is shipping?

There are two options for shipping in the USA, Surface Mail for only $2.99 regardless of how much you order and Air Mail which is calculated by weight. Surface Mail can take from 7 to 10 days for delivery while Air Mail is usually 2 or 3 days. Shipping is based on weight to countries outside the USA. There is no shipping charge for electronic versions of books.

How do you ship merchandise?

I normally tape the edges of the envelope for additional resistance to tampering. Nothing on the outside of the envelope suggests anything to do with TransVamp.com or crossdressing. The name "C. Din" and my street address will be on the upper lefthand corner of the envelope.
